Current Detection Fault
Yaskawa · F7 Drive
What does Er - 12 mean?
This fault occurs during Auto-Tuning when the motor current exceeds its rated value or an open phase is detected on the U/T1, V/T2, or W/T3 output terminals. It suggests an issue with the motor connection, wiring, or an attempt to tune a loaded motor, which can skew current measurements.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
Ensure the motor is completely unloaded (uncoupled from its load and brake released) before performing Auto-Tuning to prevent overcurrent conditions.
- 2
Carefully check the drive's output wiring and mounting for any loose connections, damage, or incorrect phasing that could lead to an open phase.
- 3
Verify continuity of the motor connections at both the drive's output terminals and inside the motor's junction box using a multimeter to confirm proper connections.
