UV2

Control Power Supply Undervoltage

Yaskawa · F7 Drive

What does UV2 mean?

An undervoltage condition was detected in the drive's internal control circuit while it was operating. This fault typically points to either an excessive load being drawn by external control wiring connected to the drive's power supplies, or an internal electrical fault, such as a short circuit, on the power or gate drive PCB.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Perform a power cycle on the drive to attempt a reset and re-evaluation of the internal power supplies and transient conditions.

  2. 2

Disconnect all external control wiring from the drive's terminal strip and re-test the drive; if the fault clears, troubleshoot external loads for shorts or overcurrent draw.

  3. 3

If the fault persists with no external wiring, inspect or replace the internal Power PCB or Gate Drive PCB, as they may have an internal short or component failure.

  4. 4

Check for correct fuse ratings on control power circuits if present.
