Yaskawa iQpump Simplex Pump Drive

7 fault codes documented

HFB

High Feedback Fault

The iQpump has detected that the feedback signal level has risen above the programmed threshold (P1-09) and remained above this level for the duration specified in parameter P1-10. This condition triggers a fault, causing the iQpump to coast to a stop for system protection. This fault function is active during running in all operation modes.

LFB

Low Feedback Level Alarm

The iQpump has detected that the feedback signal level has fallen below the programmed threshold set in parameter P1-07. This condition triggers an alarm on the display. The alarm will automatically clear once the feedback level rises above P1-07 plus the Hysteresis Level (P1-13). This alarm function is only active during running in the auto mode.

LFB/LW

Low Feedback/Water Fault

The iQpump has detected that the feedback signal level has fallen below the programmed threshold (P1-07) and remained below this level for the duration specified in parameter P1-08. This condition triggers a fault, causing the iQpump to coast to a stop for system protection. This fault function is only active during running in auto mode.

LOP

Loss of Prime Fault

The iQpump has detected a loss of prime condition within the pump. This fault occurs when the output current drops below the level set in parameter P1-14, while the output frequency is at its maximum. This condition must persist for the time specified in parameter P1-12 before the iQpump triggers the fault and coasts to a stop.

Pre-charge

Pre-charge Alarm

The iQpump operator display indicates a 'Pre-charge' alarm when the pre-charge function is active. This function runs the pump at a fixed frequency (P4-02) until one of the following conditions is met: the feedback signal rises above P4-01, the pre-charge timer P4-03 expires, or the low water digital input (H1-XX = 85) is deactivated. This function is only active in the stopped mode.

SP

Not Maintaining Set-Point Fault

The pump system has failed to maintain the programmed set-point. This fault occurs when the difference between the feedback signal level and the specified set-point exceeds the threshold defined in parameter P1-11 for the duration specified in parameter P1-12. A common root cause is a system issue like a broken pipe or other leakage preventing the system from achieving the set-point.

TL

Transducer Loss / PI Feedback Ref Missing Fault

The iQpump has detected that the feedback device (transducer) has either failed or become disconnected. This detection occurs when the feedback level falls below the percentage threshold defined in parameter b5-13 and remains in this state for the duration specified in parameter b5-14. Depending on the setting of parameter b5-12, this condition can either trigger an alarm or a fault, leading to the pump system stopping.
