oS

Overspeed

Yaskawa · J1000 AC Drive

What does oS mean?

The motor speed feedback exceeded the F1-08 setting, indicating an overspeed condition or excessive overshoot. This can be caused by incorrect speed control parameters, inappropriate speed feedback scaling, or an incorrectly set PG pulse number, leading to unstable or uncontrolled motor speed.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Adjust speed control parameters: Increase C5-01 (Speed Control Proportional Gain 1) and/or reduce C5-02 (Speed Control Integral Time 1) to improve speed response.

  2. 2

If using a Closed Loop Vector mode, enable Feed Forward Control and perform Inertia Auto-Tuning to optimize control.

  3. 3

If terminal RP is used as speed feedback, verify and correct speed feedback scaling (H6-02, H6-03 through H6-05).

  4. 4

Check and correct the PG pulse number setting (F1-01) and review the overspeed detection level and time (F1-08 and F1-09).
