Motor Pull Out or Step Out Detection
Yaskawa · J1000 AC Drive
What does STo mean?
The motor has exceeded its pull-out torque, resulting in a motor pull-out or step-out condition. This can be caused by an incorrect motor code for PM motors, an excessively heavy load, high load inertia, or acceleration/deceleration times that are too short for the system's dynamics.
Complete Troubleshooting Guide
- 1
For PM motors, enter the correct motor code (E5-01) or detailed data into E5 parameters according to the motor's test report.
- 2
Address excessive load: Increase the load inertia setting for PM motor (n8-55), increase the pull-in current during accel/decel (n8-51), physically reduce the load, or increase the motor/drive capacity.
- 3
Increase the acceleration and deceleration times (C1-01 through C1-08) and/or increase the S-curve acceleration and deceleration times (C2-01).
