Control Circuit Fault
Yaskawa · P1000 AC Drive
What does CPF18 mean?
A general fault has been detected within the drive's control circuitry. This indicates an internal malfunction of the control logic, affecting overall drive operation. (Similar to CPF14).
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify incoming supply voltage and phase balance at the drive's main input terminals (L1/L2/L3) against specified limits.
- 2
Inspect all external control wiring (digital I/O, analog I/O, communication) for proper termination, insulation integrity, and absence of shorts or damage.
- 3
Check the drive's parameter settings related to control logic, I/O functions, and communication protocols against the application's design to identify any misconfigurations.
- 4
Verify the integrity of the drive's ground connection and ensure proper earthing of the entire system to prevent electrical noise affecting control circuitry.
- 5
Inspect the drive's internal environment for signs of contamination (dust, moisture) or overheating, ensuring cooling fans are operational and vents are clear.
