Overcurrent
Yaskawa · P1000 AC Drive
What does oC mean?
An overcurrent condition has occurred, indicating that the output current exceeded the drive's permissible limits. This fault can also be displayed in the event of an IGBT failure, suggesting internal power component damage.
Common Causes
- IGBT failure within the drive
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify that the driven equipment is not mechanically jammed or overloaded, preventing the motor from turning freely.
- 2
Inspect the motor output cables (U, V, W) for any signs of damage, shorts to ground, or phase-to-phase shorts, and verify all motor terminal connections are secure.
- 3
Measure the insulation resistance of the motor windings to ground using a megohmmeter (Megger test) to detect potential motor winding breakdown.
- 4
Verify that the motor nameplate data and acceleration/deceleration times entered into the drive's parameters are correctly configured for the connected motor and application.
