Soft Charge Circuit Fault
Yaskawa · P1000 AC Drive
What does Uv3 mean?
An issue with the drive's internal soft charge circuit has been detected. This circuit manages the initial charging of the DC bus capacitors, preventing high inrush currents.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure input voltage at the drive's L1, L2, L3 terminals to verify it falls within the specified operating range for the Yaskawa P1000.
- 2
Inspect all input power wiring and connections at the drive and upstream breaker for tightness, corrosion, and signs of overheating or physical damage.
- 3
Verify the displayed DC bus voltage on the drive's keypad during power-up attempts to observe the charging behavior before the Uv3 fault triggers.
- 4
Check for the presence and proper connection of any external braking units or regeneration modules, ensuring their wiring to the DC bus terminals is correct and intact.
- 5
Review drive parameters related to undervoltage trip levels, input voltage settings, and power-up sequence delays to confirm correct configuration as per Yaskawa specifications.
