UL5

Mechanical Weakening Detection 2

Yaskawa · V1000 AC Drive

What does UL5 mean?

The drive detected undertorque conditions consistent with mechanical weakening or fatigue, as defined by the settings in L6-08 [Mechanical Fatigue Detect Select]. This fault suggests potential degradation of critical machine components or a loss of load. If unaddressed, this could lead to unexpected mechanical failure, loss of production, or unsafe operating conditions.

Complete Troubleshooting Guide

  1. 1

Examine the machine for signs of deterioration or wear in mechanical components that could cause undertorque, such as worn bearings or loose couplings.

  2. 2

Verify the integrity of the load connection and ensure no part of the mechanical system has become disengaged or broken.

  3. 3

Perform a Fault Reset to clear the fault from the drive after identifying and resolving the issue.
