Safety related reference missing
Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive MPx02
What does F3112 mean?
A general safety-related reference value required for safe operation is missing. This reference could be related to position, speed, or other critical safety parameters. Without a valid safety reference, the system cannot guarantee safe functionality and will trigger a fault to prevent hazardous conditions.
Common Causes
- Safety encoder not referenced or initialized
- Missing safety-related homing procedure
- Parameter for safety reference not defined
- Corruption of safety-related data
- Communication failure affecting safety reference input
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the wiring and connections for all safety-related sensors, safety encoders, and external safety input signals to the IndraDrive's safety I/O terminals.
- 2
Inspect the physical integrity of the safety encoder (if applicable) and its cabling for damage, proper seating, and loose connections.
- 3
Check and verify all configured safety parameters (e.g., Safe Motion parameters, encoder settings, safety reference source) within the IndraDrive's engineering software (e.g., IndraWorks DS).
- 4
Measure the voltage or signal status of any external safety reference inputs (e.g., from a safety PLC or dedicated safety controller) at the IndraDrive's terminals to confirm active and valid signals.
