Error, brake check time interval exceeded
Bosch Rexroth · IndraDrive MPx02
What does F3115 mean?
The allowed time interval for performing a brake check has been exceeded. Safety-related brake checks are periodic tests to verify the holding brake's functionality. Failure to complete this check within the configured interval indicates either a brake malfunction, a system delay, or an issue preventing the check's execution, compromising holding safety.
Common Causes
- Brake check not initiated within the required time frame
- Brake check duration exceeded due to brake malfunction
- System delays preventing timely execution of the brake check
- Incorrect parameter for brake check interval or duration
- Encoder fault preventing accurate position feedback during check
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify drive parameters related to brake check interval and safety brake control (e.g., P-055x, P-060x series for IndraDrive) against the original commissioning documentation.
- 2
Inspect the motor brake power cabling and signal connections for damage, proper seating, and continuity between the IndraDrive and the motor.
- 3
Measure the actual voltage supplied to the motor holding brake during the check cycle and compare it to the specified nominal voltage for the brake.
- 4
Verify the integrity and signal quality of the motor encoder feedback system, as incorrect position data can interfere with the brake check sequence.
