FF52

NO MOT DATA

ABB · ACS560 Standard Control Program Firmware

What does FF52 mean?

Motor data has either not been provided to the drive or the configured motor data does not match the inverter's capabilities. Incorrect or missing motor parameters can lead to suboptimal motor control, instability, and potential damage to both the motor and the drive.

Common Causes

  • Motor nameplate data (e.g., rated power, current, voltage, speed) has not been entered into the drive's parameters (e.g., P1-01 to P1-04).
  • Motor autotune procedure was not successfully completed or was interrupted after initial parameter entry.
  • The selected motor control mode (e.g., vector control via P2-05) requires specific motor data that is currently missing.
  • Mismatch between the drive's rated power and the connected motor's rated power, exceeding the drive's capability range.
  • Corrupted drive configuration memory, causing previously stored motor data to be lost.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

    1. Enter all required motor nameplate data (rated power P1-01, rated voltage P1-02, rated current P1-03, rated speed P1-04) into the drive's parameters.

  2. 2

    2. Perform a static or rotating autotune procedure for the motor according to the drive's specific manual instructions.

  3. 3

    3. Verify the selected motor control mode (P2-05) is appropriate for the application and whether it requires precise motor model data.

  4. 4

    4. Check the drive's rated output current and power against the motor's nameplate data to ensure compatibility.

  5. 5

    5. Attempt to reset drive parameters to factory defaults (e.g., P0-01) and then re-enter motor data from scratch.
