The configuration of an I/O module is either not supported or contains illegal settings. This prevents the I/O module from operating as intended, leading to incorrect I/O behavior or non-functionality of connected devices.
Click steps to track your progress.
Review the I/O module's configuration parameters (e.g., P3-xx, P4-xx, P5-xx) in the drive manual to ensure valid settings.
Perform a parameter reset on the I/O module's specific parameter group (if available) or a full drive parameter reset (P96-01=1).
Attempt to manually configure the basic I/O settings step-by-step, verifying functionality after each change.
Update the drive's main firmware and, if applicable, the I/O module's firmware to the latest compatible versions.
If the module is part of a fieldbus setup, verify the GSD/GSDML file used in the fieldbus master is the correct version for the module.
