ACS880 · Spinning and Traverse Control Program Firmware
A main cooling fan is either stuck or disconnected. This warning can be triggered based on the setting of parameter 31.35 (Main fan fault function). The auxiliary code identifies the specific fan (e.g., Main fan 1, 2, or 3) and its state (ID run or normal operation).
Click steps to track your progress.
Identify the specific main cooling fan affected by checking the auxiliary code (format XYZ, where Z is the fan index: 1 for Main fan 1, 2 for Main fan 2, etc.).
Visually inspect the identified fan for any mechanical obstructions, dust accumulation, or physical damage preventing rotation.
Verify that the electrical connections to the main cooling fan are secure, properly terminated, and free from corrosion.
Check the fan's operation by observing if it rotates when the drive is operating; if not, test for power supply to the fan. Replace the fan unit if it is faulty.
Review parameter 95.20 (HW options word 1), bit 14, to ensure it is correctly configured for the drive's installed fan hardware.
