A782

FEN temperature

ACS880 · Spinning and Traverse Control Program Firmware

What does A782 mean?

An error in temperature measurement has been detected when a KTY or PTC temperature sensor is connected to an FEN-xx encoder interface. Specifically, the FEN-01 interface module does not support KTY sensors, which would trigger this warning if incorrectly configured. This indicates a mismatch between sensor type, encoder interface settings, or module activation.

Common Causes

  • An incorrect temperature sensor type (e.g., KTY sensor) is connected to an incompatible FEN-xx encoder interface module (e.g., FEN-01).
  • Parameter 35.11 (Temperature 1 source) or 35.21 (Temperature 2 source) is incorrectly set for the actual encoder interface and sensor installation.
  • Incorrect configuration in parameters 91.21 and 91.24, which are related to encoder module settings.
  • The corresponding encoder interface module (activated via parameters 91.11 through 91.14) is not properly enabled or recognized.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the type of temperature sensor (KTY or PTC) connected to the FEN-xx encoder interface. Ensure that if FEN-01 is used, a PTC sensor is connected.

  2. 2

Check parameters 35.11 (Temperature 1 source) and 35.21 (Temperature 2 source) to confirm they are correctly configured for the installed encoder interface and sensor type.

  3. 3

Review parameters 91.21 and 91.24 to ensure their settings align with the installed encoder interface module configuration.

  4. 4

Ensure that the specific encoder interface module receiving the temperature input is correctly activated in parameters 91.11 to 91.14.

  5. 5

After making any parameter changes, use parameter 91.10 (Encoder parameter refresh) to validate the new settings and clear the warning.
