A794

BR data

ACS880 · Spinning and Traverse Control Program Firmware

What does A794 mean?

One or more of the brake resistor data settings (parameters 43.08, 43.09, 43.10) are incorrect or have not been provided. The auxiliary code specifies the exact parameter at fault: 0000 0001 (Resistance value too low), 0000 0002 (Thermal time constant not given), or 0000 0003 (Maximum continuous power not given).

Common Causes

  • Parameter 43.10 (Brake resistor resistance) is set to a value that is too low for the connected resistor (aux code 0000 0001).
  • Parameter 43.08 (Brake resistor thermal time constant) has not been configured or contains an incorrect value (aux code 0000 0002).
  • Parameter 43.09 (Brake resistor max continuous power) has not been configured or contains an incorrect value (aux code 0000 0003).
  • The entered brake resistor data parameters do not accurately reflect the actual electrical and thermal characteristics of the installed brake resistor.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the auxiliary code to identify the specific parameter that is incorrect or missing (0000 0001, 0000 0002, or 0000 0003).

  2. 2

If the auxiliary code is 0000 0001, verify and correct the value of parameter 43.10 (Brake resistor resistance) to match the nameplate data of the installed resistor.

  3. 3

If the auxiliary code is 0000 0002, verify and enter the correct value for parameter 43.08 (Brake resistor thermal time constant) based on resistor specifications.

  4. 4

If the auxiliary code is 0000 0003, verify and enter the correct value for parameter 43.09 (Brake resistor max continuous power) based on resistor specifications.

  5. 5

Ensure all brake resistor parameters within parameter group 43 accurately correspond to the specifications of the connected resistor.
