Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive High Power
The Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) routine failed to complete successfully. AMA is crucial for optimizing drive performance by precisely identifying motor parameters. A failed calibration means the drive is not operating with optimal motor data, potentially leading to inefficient operation, motor stress, or poor control.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Verify motor connection integrity at terminals U, V, W using an ohmmeter for phase-to-phase continuity and resistance.
2. Confirm all motor data parameters (P1-20 to P1-25) precisely match the motor nameplate specifications.
3. Disconnect the motor from its mechanical load and attempt AMA to rule out external mechanical binding.
4. Measure insulation resistance of motor cables and windings using a megohmmeter (e.g., 500VDC test voltage).
5. Check for voltage imbalance or phase loss at the drive output terminals (U, V, W) during an AMA attempt using a voltmeter.
