WARNING 1

10 Volts low

Danfoss · VLT HVAC Drive High Power

What does WARNING 1 mean?

The control card's 10 V supply from terminal 50 is less than 10 V, indicating it is overloaded. This can affect connected sensors or potentiometers, leading to incorrect control signals or loss of functionality.

Common Causes

  • Excessive current draw from terminal 50 (10V supply) due to too many or faulty external devices (sensors, potentiometers) connected.
  • Short circuit or partial short circuit on the wiring connected to terminal 50.
  • Faulty external sensor or potentiometer drawing excessive current from the 10V supply.
  • Internal fault with the frequency converter's 10V reference supply circuit on the control card.
  • Incorrectly wired input, causing unintended current draw from the 10V supply.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Disconnect all external devices from terminal 50 and measure the voltage between terminal 50 and terminal 55 (common) using a multimeter.

  2. 2

Reconnect devices one by one to identify which device causes the voltage drop on terminal 50.

  3. 3

Inspect all wiring connected to terminal 50 for damage, short circuits, or incorrect connections.

  4. 4

Verify the current consumption of each connected device (e.g., sensor, potentiometer) to ensure the total load does not exceed the frequency converter's specified 10V output capacity (e.g., 15mA).

  5. 5

Replace any external device confirmed to be drawing excessive current from terminal 50.
