LADDER EXECUTION CYCLE SETTING ERROR

Fanuc · Series 30i/31i/32i-MODEL B Parameter

What does ER55 mean?

This PMC alarm indicates that an invalid value has been set for the ladder execution interval parameter. Specifically, if parameter No. 11930, which controls the execution interval of ladder level 1, is set to a value other than the allowed 0, 1, 2, 4, or 8, the alarm is issued and all PMCs fail to start.

Common Causes

  • Error in the PLC ladder logic execution cycle time.
  • Ladder program execution too slow or too fast.
  • Cycle time overflow in the PLC scan.
  • Timing issue with the ladder logic execution.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the current setting of parameter No. 11930 (Execution interval of ladder level 1).

  2. 2

Verify that the value of parameter No. 11930 is one of the valid settings: 0, 1, 2, 4, or 8.

  3. 3

If an invalid value is found, set parameter No. 11930 to an appropriate valid execution interval (e.g., 1 for 1ms, 2 for 2ms).

  4. 4

After modifying parameter No. 11930, turn the CNC power off and then back on to ensure the new setting is applied and the PMCs can start correctly.
