26113

Motor phase failure, KPP/KSP (axis)

KUKA KRC4 · Robot Controller

What does 26113 mean?

Detection of a failure in one or more motor phases connected to the KPP/KSP axis drive in the KUKA KR C4/KR C4 CK controller. This indicates an open circuit, short circuit, or high resistance in the motor power path, leading to uncontrolled motor movement or inability to operate the axis.

Common Causes

  • Damaged or disconnected motor cable (e.g., broken conductor, loose terminal).
  • Internal fault or open circuit in the motor windings.
  • Faulty connection between the motor cable and the KPP/KSP module.
  • Internal failure within the KSP (KUKA Servo Pack) module.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Perform a visual inspection of the motor cable for physical damage, proper connection, and secure termination at both the motor and KPP/KSP ends.

  2. 2

Using a multimeter, measure the resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, U-W) and from each phase to ground. Compare readings against motor specifications (expect balanced phase resistances and high resistance to ground).

  3. 3

Check motor windings for short circuits or ground faults using an insulation resistance tester (megger) if appropriate.

  4. 4

Perform a power cycle (Power Off / Power On) of the KR C4/KR C4 CK controller to reinitialize the drive bus.

  5. 5

Inspect the KSP module for any visible damage or warning indicators.
