123

LV3-Trip (Battery undervoltage, U<19 V)

Kuka · KR C2 Robot Controller

What does 123 mean?

This fault indicates a more severe battery undervoltage condition where the battery voltage has dropped below 19V (KPS-600). At this critical level, system functions relying on battery power may become unstable or fail completely, risking data integrity.

Common Causes

  • LV3-Trip: Battery undervoltage detected (e.g., U<19V) (P1-20).
  • KPS buffer battery voltage has fallen below the critical threshold.
  • KPS buffer battery failure or end-of-life.
  • Insufficient charging of the KPS buffer battery.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the battery voltage directly at its terminals — expect >19V.

  2. 2

Verify the battery charger is functioning correctly and providing adequate charge current.

  3. 3

Check battery terminal connections for corrosion or looseness.
