Kuka · KR C2 Robot Controller
This fault indicates an overvoltage condition in the intermediate DC bus circuit during normal operation (KPS-600). This often occurs due to regenerative energy from the motor not being absorbed or dissipated by the braking resistor, causing the DC bus voltage to rise above safe limits and risking damage to the drive's power stage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure the DC bus voltage at terminals +UDC/-UDC during operation, especially during deceleration or lowering loads.
Verify the operation and resistance of the external braking resistor — ensure it is correctly sized and connected.
Check drive parameters for deceleration ramp times — increase these values if they are too short for the connected load inertia.
