What does K1 contactor welded PMx mean?

The main contactor K1 in the KPS module (PMx) is stuck (welded) in either a closed or open position. This prevents proper control of power flow to the drive system.

Common Causes

  • KPS main contactor (K1) is stuck in the closed position.
  • Mechanical obstruction preventing KPS main contactor K1 from opening.
  • Electrical fault causing KPS main contactor K1 to remain energized.
  • Failed KPS control logic preventing K1 release.
