26048

Overvoltage during charging, KPP/KSP (axis)

Kuka · KR C4 Operating Instructions

What does 26048 mean?

An overvoltage condition occurred in the KPP/KSP during the charging phase of the intermediate circuit. This could be due to excessively high incoming mains voltage or an insufficient number of capacitors connected to the system for proper voltage regulation.

Common Causes

  • Excessive voltage detected on the intermediate DC bus during the charging phase.
  • Power surge from the mains supply during initial power-up.
  • Malfunction in the KPP/KSP braking or pre-charging circuit.
  • Capacitor bank failure causing voltage spikes.
  • External voltage source exceeding KPP/KSP limits.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Measure the incoming mains voltage to the KPP/KSP — verify it is within the specified operating range.

  2. 2

Verify the number of connected capacitors/modules in the system; ensure enough are present for proper energy storage.

  3. 3

Reinitialize the drive bus by performing a Power Off / Power On cycle of the entire system.

  4. 4

Check the KPP module itself for internal faults if mains voltage and capacitance are verified correct.

  5. 5

Check the KSP module, though this is considered an improbable cause for this specific fault.
