Reference Stop - Impermissible Operating Mode

What does RS mean?

This signal indicates that a reference stop has occurred because the robot is operating in a mode not permitted for referencing. Reference runs are strictly confined to operating modes T1 (Teach mode 1) and CRR (Continuous Run Robot).

Common Causes

  • Device entered an impermissible operating mode, preventing startup.
  • Safety interlock active, blocking the requested operating mode.
  • Emergency stop condition active.
  • Incorrect sequence of operations initiated by the control system.
