The motor parameter identification process has failed, most likely because the motor is not properly connected to the drive. Incorrect parameter identification can lead to suboptimal motor control, instability, and potential damage to both the motor and the drive if not resolved.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Verify secure connection and continuity of all three motor phases (U, V, W) at both the drive output terminals and the motor terminal box.
2. Measure the resistance between motor phases (U-V, V-W, W-U) with a multimeter; readings should be balanced.
3. Ensure motor nameplate data (Voltage, Current, RPM, kW/HP) is accurately entered into drive parameters (e.g., P0-01 to P0-05).
4. Confirm that the motor shaft is free of any mechanical load or restraint before initiating the identification run (C0003=1 or 2).
