Omron · MX2 Inverter
This fault indicates that the inverter detected an excessive current flow while the motor was operating at a constant speed. This can be caused by a short circuit in the motor output, a locked motor shaft, or a sudden heavy load on the motor, leading to inverter shutdown to prevent damage.
Click steps to track your progress.
Measure insulation resistance between motor output terminals U, V, W and between each terminal and ground (PE) using a megohmmeter (insulation tester).
Check for mechanical obstruction or bearing damage by decoupling the motor from the load and attempting to rotate the motor shaft manually.
Inspect motor terminal block and output wiring for signs of arcing, carbon tracking, or loose connections.
Verify Parameter P1-03 (Motor rated current) and P1-04 (Motor no-load current) settings against motor nameplate data.
Monitor the output current (display parameter d0-03) while the motor is running at constant speed to identify peak current values.
