Omron · MX2 Inverter
This fault signifies an excessive current draw by the motor during its acceleration phase. Common causes include a short circuit in the motor wiring, the motor being mechanically locked, an overly aggressive acceleration time setting for the load, or insufficient motor parameters in the drive.
Click steps to track your progress.
Increase Acceleration Time (Parameter P1-10) by 20-50% to reduce the initial current surge.
Measure insulation resistance between motor output terminals U, V, W and between each terminal and ground (PE) with a megohmmeter (insulation tester).
Verify the mechanical freedom of the driven load by decoupling the motor and manually rotating the load shaft.
Check and adjust the current limit (Parameter P1-07) to a suitable level, typically 150-180% of the inverter's rated current.
Monitor motor current (display parameter d0-03) during acceleration to identify peak current values.
