Omron · MX2 Inverter
This fault occurs during brake control operation if the inverter fails to receive the braking confirmation signal within the specified time (b124) after a brake release, or if the output current doesn't reach the brake release current (b126) during the brake wait time (b121). It indicates a problem with the brake's operation or its feedback to the inverter.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Verify the mechanical operation of the brake; manually cycle the brake (if safe) to observe its release and engagement.
2. Measure the voltage (VDC/VAC) supplied to the brake coil/solenoid from the inverter's brake output terminals (e.g., T1, T2) to confirm activation.
3. Check the state of the brake feedback input terminals (e.g., X1, X2) using a multimeter (continuity or voltage) to confirm the brake 'open' signal is received by the inverter.
4. Review and adjust parameter b124 (Brake confirmation time) to allow sufficient time for brake release before motor current rise.
5. Inspect all wiring related to the brake circuit for damage, loose connections, or incorrect termination at both the inverter and the brake assembly.
