Schneider Electric · Altivar Machine ATV320 Variable Speed Drive
An interruption in communication with the remote terminal (HMI). This means the drive has lost its connection to its human-machine interface, preventing local control, status monitoring, or parameter adjustments from the HMI. The drive may still operate if controlled externally.
Click steps to track your progress.
1. Verify the physical cable connection between the remote HMI and the drive's HMI port for secure seating and damage.
2. Power down the drive, remove the HMI, and then re-seat it firmly into its port.
3. Check drive parameters related to HMI communication (e.g., P1-20 for HMI address) to ensure correct configuration.
4. Try connecting a known-good HMI unit to the drive to determine if the fault lies with the HMI or the drive.
5. Inspect the HMI cable for proper shielding and ensure it is routed away from high-power cables to minimize EMI.
