Error in outgoing MFI interface (OUT1)

What does 0C8A mean?

The outgoing MFI interface (OUT1) was activated even though no station is connected or was configured in the master. This indicates a mismatch between the physical setup and the INTERBUS master configuration.

Common Causes

  • No station physically connected to the outgoing interface OUT1.
  • Outgoing interface OUT1 not configured in the INTERBUS master.
  • Incorrect setting of DIP switch 6 (NEXT/END) on the MFI.
