50

Analog input select

Vacon · 20 Compact

What does 50 mean?

This fault indicates that the current at an analogue input (configured for a 4-20mA range) is below 4mA, or the voltage at an analogue input (configured for a 2-10V range) is below 2V. This typically points to a broken or loose control cable or a failure of the signal source device.

Common Causes

  • Motor current exceeds the drive's maximum allowed limit (e.g., P0200).
  • Short circuit in motor windings or output cables.
  • Mechanical overload on the motor shaft.
  • Rapid acceleration/deceleration causing current surge.
  • Incorrect motor data entered into drive parameters.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Check the entire current or voltage loop circuitry, including the signal source, control cables, and input terminals (e.g., AI1, AI2, GND) for proper connection and continuity.
