IGBT temperature

Vacon · NX Liquid-Cooled Drive

What does 41 mean?

The IGBT Inverter Bridge overtemperature protection has detected an excessively high short-term overload current, indicating a thermal stress condition.

Common Causes

  • IGBT temperature approaching or exceeding operational limits.
  • High temperature detected on the Insulated-Gate Bipolar Transistor.
  • Overload condition causing increased IGBT temperature (P1-20).
  • Inadequate cooling for the IGBT module.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Evaluate the actual motor loading and compare it against the drive's continuous and overload current ratings.

  2. 2

Verify the motor size and nominal current rating are appropriate for the drive's specified output capacity.
