Gateway No Back-end Connection

Fronius · Perfect Charging

What does 102 mean?

The gateway device is online and operational but has no established connection to the remote back-end system or server. This prevents the charger's data from being transferred to a central monitoring, control, or data logging system.

Common Causes

  • Network connectivity issues between the gateway and the back-end (e.g., Ethernet cable unplugged, Wi-Fi signal loss, internet service outage, firewall blocking).
  • Incorrect network configuration settings (e.g., IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS server) on the gateway.
  • The back-end server is offline, inaccessible, or experiencing its own network issues.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Verify the physical network cable connection (e.g., Ethernet) from the gateway to the local router/switch.

  2. 2

Check the gateway's network settings (e.g., IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, DNS) to ensure they are correctly configured for the network.

  3. 3

Confirm that the back-end server is accessible and operational from other network devices.
