209

TagID Defective EEPROM Memory

Fronius · Perfect Charging

What does 209 mean?

The EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) within the TagID module is detected as defective. EEPROM is used for non-volatile storage of critical configuration and master data, so this fault affects the persistence of information.

Common Causes

  • Physical degradation or wear of the EEPROM memory cells over time or due to excessive write cycles.
  • Power disturbances or unstable voltage supply affecting EEPROM write operations.
  • An internal fault of the TagID module's memory controller.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Attempt to rewrite or reformat the EEPROM memory if diagnostic tools allow, or try to restore default settings.

  2. 2

If the EEPROM is physically defective and integrated, the entire TagID module requires replacement.

  3. 3

Check the stability of the power supply to the TagID module.
