302
Temperature Overrun - Excessive Temperature
Fronius · Perfect Charging
What does 302 mean?
The monitored temperature has exceeded the safe operational limit. This is a critical safety fault indicating excessive heat in the monitored area, which can lead to component damage, reduced lifespan, or hazardous operating conditions.
Common Causes
- High ambient temperature in the operating environment, increasing the overall thermal load.
- Internal overheating of the battery or charger components due to excessive current or load.
- Insufficient cooling or blocked ventilation for the charger or battery enclosure.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Identify the specific source of the excessive temperature (e.g., battery, power module, transformer) using an infrared thermometer.
- 2
Ensure adequate ventilation and cooling airflow for the affected component and the entire charger enclosure, clearing any obstructions.
- 3
Reduce the charging current or temporarily pause operation to allow the component or battery to cool down to a safe temperature.
