302
Overcurrent (DC)
Fronius · Primo GEN24 Operating Instructions
What does 302 mean?
This code indicates an overcurrent condition on the DC input side of the inverter, typically from the PV strings. This causes a short-term interruption in energy feeding, after which the inverter will attempt to resume its startup routine.
Common Causes
- Excessive current from the PV modules due to fault conditions like short circuits in strings.
- Incorrectly sized or faulty PV strings leading to current exceeding inverter limits.
- Direct short circuit on the DC input terminals.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
If the status code is displayed continuously, notify a Fronius-trained service engineer for further diagnosis.
- 2
Measure DC current on each string to identify potential short circuits or overloads.
- 3
Inspect all DC cabling and connectors for damage or insulation breakdown that could cause a short.
