302

Overcurrent (DC)

Fronius · Primo GEN24 Operating Instructions

What does 302 mean?

This code indicates an overcurrent condition on the DC input side of the inverter, typically from the PV strings. This causes a short-term interruption in energy feeding, after which the inverter will attempt to resume its startup routine.

Common Causes

  • Excessive current from the PV modules due to fault conditions like short circuits in strings.
  • Incorrectly sized or faulty PV strings leading to current exceeding inverter limits.
  • Direct short circuit on the DC input terminals.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

If the status code is displayed continuously, notify a Fronius-trained service engineer for further diagnosis.

  2. 2

Measure DC current on each string to identify potential short circuits or overloads.

  3. 3

Inspect all DC cabling and connectors for damage or insulation breakdown that could cause a short.
