308
Intermediate circuit voltage too high
Fronius · Primo GEN24 Operating Instructions
What does 308 mean?
This code indicates that the intermediate DC bus voltage within the inverter has exceeded its permissible upper limit. This causes a short-term interruption in energy feeding, after which the inverter will attempt to resume its startup routine.
Common Causes
- Excessive DC input voltage from the PV array, potentially due to incorrect string sizing or open circuit conditions.
- Grid overvoltage causing DC bus voltage to rise.
- Malfunction in the inverter's DC-DC converter or control circuitry.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
If this status code keeps recurring, contact your system engineer for diagnosis.
- 2
Verify the PV string configuration and open-circuit voltage (Voc) to ensure it is within the inverter's specified DC input range.
- 3
Measure the DC bus voltage at the intermediate circuit to verify actual voltage levels.
