DC voltage too low (Battery)
Fronius · Primo GEN24
What does 512 mean?
The Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter has detected that the DC voltage of the connected battery system is too low. This indicates the battery is deeply discharged or has an internal fault, preventing it from supplying power or being charged.
Common Causes
- DC voltage too low (battery).
- Battery deeply discharged.
- Battery fault.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check the battery's state of charge (SoC) via the battery's own display or monitoring system. The battery may simply require charging.
- 2
Measure the voltage at the battery terminals and compare it to the battery manufacturer's minimum operating voltage specification.
- 3
Inspect all DC cables and connections between the battery and the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter for loose contacts or damage that could cause voltage drops.
- 4
Refer to the battery manufacturer's manual for specific low-voltage recovery procedures or diagnostics if the battery is faulty or deeply discharged.
- 5
If the battery is deeply discharged, some battery systems require a specific "pre-charge" or recovery procedure before the inverter can resume normal operation; refer to the battery manual.
