AC Frequency Range
Fronius · Symo Advanced
What does 103 mean?
This status code signifies that the AC frequency on the inverter's AC connection side is outside its permissible operating range. This condition indicates that the utility grid frequency is either too low or too high, or that the grid itself is unstable, preventing the Fronius Primo GEN24 208-240 inverter from feeding power.
Common Causes
- Line frequency is too low, falling below the inverter's minimum operating threshold.
- Line frequency is too high, exceeding the inverter's maximum operating threshold.
- Instability in the utility grid causing frequency fluctuations.
- Incorrect country setup parameter, leading to improper frequency limits.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Measure the AC grid frequency at the inverter's AC terminals and compare it to the inverter's specified operating range.
- 2
Check the inverter's parameters for the correct country setup; adjust if necessary to match local grid requirements.
- 3
De-energize the inverter (switch off AC and DC disconnects), wait for 5 minutes, then re-energize to reset. If the message persists, the inverter may require service.
