RsdTriggeredBySwitch

RSD Triggered by WSD Switch

Fronius · Symo Advanced

What does RsdTriggeredBySwitch mean?

The Rapid Shutdown (RSD) function has been manually initiated through the activation of an external Wired Shut Down (WSD) trigger device or switch. This action interrupts the communication from the inverter to compatible rapid shutdown devices on the PV modules, resulting in a discharge of module terminals to less than 30 VDC and less than 15 VAC within 30 seconds.

Common Causes

  • Manual activation of an external WSD switch (e.g., Emergency Stop button, fire alarm contact).
  • Faulty WSD trigger device or short in the WSD circuit.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Examine the external WSD trigger device or switch to confirm its intended status and ensure it is not inadvertently activated.

  2. 2

Check the wiring and connections of the WSD interface, potentially located in the Data communication area (refer to page 33 for installation details).

  3. 3

Verify that no external emergency conditions are present that would necessitate a manual shutdown.
