Motor Rotation Reversed
Kone · Frequency Inverter
What does 22 mean?
This error indicates that slippage due to reversed motor rotation has occurred for more than 0.5 seconds. Specifically, it is recorded if speed feedback from Port A and B on the master control PCB shows values less than -150 mm during upward travel or greater than 150 mm during downward travel, signifying movement in the unintended direction.
Common Causes
- Incorrect motor wiring or phase sequence, causing the motor to rotate in the opposite direction than commanded.
- Malfunction or incorrect connection of speed feedback sensors (e.g., encoder) to Ports A and B on the master control PCB.
- Mechanical slippage between the motor and the driven load, causing the detected speed feedback to deviate significantly.
- Incorrect configuration of motor rotation direction in the drive parameters.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the motor's power wiring connections to ensure the correct phase sequence and direction of rotation.
- 2
Check the connections and functionality of the speed feedback device (encoder) to Ports A and B on the master control PCB.
- 3
Inspect the mechanical coupling between the motor and the lift's traction system for any signs of slippage.
- 4
Confirm that the motor rotation direction parameter in the drive settings matches the intended physical direction for upward and downward travel.
