What does 32 mean?
This fault indicates that the critical safety circuit of the lift has been interrupted or opened while the lift was in service. This is a protective measure to immediately halt lift operation when a safety condition is violated.
Common Causes
- Activation of an emergency stop button in the car or on a landing.
- Opening of car door or landing door interlocks during travel.
- Activation of a safety limit switch, such as pit stop switch or overtravel limits.
- Physical break or poor connection in the safety circuit wiring.
- Malfunction of a safety component (e.g., safety relay, governor switch).
