Checksum error in parameter set 1
Lenze · 9300 Series
What does PR1 mean?
A fault occurred when loading parameter set 1, which could be due to an interruption during transmission via the keypad or incompatibility between the stored parameters and the loaded software version. The Lenze setting is loaded automatically.
Common Causes
- Abrupt power loss to the device during parameter upload or download process from a keypad or external tool.
- Software firmware update changed the parameter structure, rendering previously saved parameter set 1 incompatible.
- Data corruption during transfer via the keypad communication cable due to EMI or a loose connection.
- Internal non-volatile memory (EEPROM) corruption where parameter set 1 is stored, possibly due to aging or electrical stress.
- Inconsistency between parameter settings and the configured hardware options (e.g., I/O modules), leading to an invalid checksum.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Re-upload parameter set 1 from a known good backup file using the programming software, ensuring stable power supply during the process.
- 2
Update the device firmware to the latest compatible version, then re-initialize parameters to factory defaults before loading a backup.
- 3
Inspect the keypad connection cable and terminals for secure fit and signs of damage; replace if intermittent connection is suspected.
- 4
Attempt to load the factory default parameter set (often via a specific keypad sequence or software command like P0-01 = 0).
- 5
Verify the device part number and firmware version against the source of the parameter set file to confirm compatibility.
- 6
Perform a hardware reset or power cycle after updating parameters to ensure the new values are fully registered.
