H11 (Temperature sensor error: Temperature inside the controller)
Lenze · 9300 Series
What does x111 mean?
The internal temperature sensor within the controller is reporting undefined values. This compromises the ability of the drive to monitor and protect itself against overheating conditions.
Common Causes
- Internal temperature sensor (e.g., on control board or power board) has failed or become disconnected.
- Intermittent electrical connection to the internal temperature sensor within the drive.
- Faulty analog-to-digital converter (ADC) on the control board failing to read the sensor correctly.
- High ambient temperature exceeding the drive's operational limits, leading to sensor saturation or failure.
- Firmware bug causing incorrect interpretation of the sensor's raw data.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Perform a power cycle to the drive by disconnecting mains power for at least 30 seconds.
- 2
Check the ambient temperature around the drive with a thermometer and ensure it is within the manufacturer's specified operating range (e.g., 0-50°C).
- 3
Inspect the internal components of the drive (if safe and accessible) for any obvious damage or loose connections, particularly to temperature sensors.
- 4
Verify that the cooling fan(s) inside the drive are operating correctly and that airflow is not obstructed.
- 5
If the fault persists after verifying environmental conditions and cooling, the internal temperature sensor or its reading circuit is faulty, requiring service.
