Main overvoltage
Schindler · Easy Altivar ATV310 Drive
What does F016 mean?
This ATV310 fault occurs when the incoming line voltage supplied to the drive is excessively high. This can be triggered at power-on (10% over maximum acceptable voltage) or when idle (20% over maximal line supply), or by a disturbed mains supply.
Common Causes
- Line voltage too high at drive power on (exceeding 10% over the maximum acceptable voltage level)
- Line voltage too high when powered with no run command (exceeding 20% over maximal line supply)
- Disturbed mains supply with transient overvoltages
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Turn off the ATV310 drive and verify the incoming line voltage using a multimeter or power quality analyzer.
- 2
Adjust the line voltage from the source to ensure it is within the drive's specified nominal voltage range and tolerances.
- 3
After the line voltage returns to nominal (within tolerance), power on the drive.
- 4
If intermittent F016 codes appear, set parameter 205 (R1 assignment) to 01 and connect the R1 relay output to upstream protection to avoid drive overvoltage.
