DC link voltage too high
SEW Eurodrive · MOVIMOT MM..D With AC Motor DRS
What does 07 mean?
The DC link voltage has exceeded its permitted threshold. This condition often arises from regenerative braking if the ramp time is too short, issues with the braking resistor/coil, or an invalid supply input voltage.
Common Causes
- Ramp time set too short, leading to excessive regenerative energy
- Faulty connection between brake coil and braking resistor
- Incorrect internal resistance of brake coil or braking resistor
- Thermal overload in the braking resistor due to incorrect sizing for the application
- Invalid supply input voltage range
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Increase the ramp time setting
- 2
Check the connection between the braking resistor and brake coil and correct if necessary
- 3
Check the internal resistance of the brake coil and braking resistor (refer to 'Technical Data' section)
- 4
Check the supply input voltage for valid voltage range
- 5
Reset the error by switching off the DC 24 V supply voltage
- 6
Reset the error via the control system or dedicated reset function
