CPF06

EEPROM Memory Data Error

Yaskawa · Drive Fault Codes

What does CPF06 mean?

An error detected in the drive's EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory), where parameters and operational data are stored. This can indicate data corruption or a faulty memory chip, potentially causing the drive to operate with incorrect settings or fail to store new ones.

Common Causes

  • Corruption of data in the EEPROM due to power fluctuations or severe electrical noise
  • Faulty EEPROM chip on the control board reaching end-of-life or experiencing failure
  • Firmware update interruption or failure causing inconsistent data storage.

Repair Steps & Checklist

Click steps to track your progress.

  1. 1

Perform a parameter initialization (e.g., using parameter A1-03 for a factory reset) and re-enter all parameters manually.

  2. 2

Cycle power to the drive to attempt a memory refresh and clear any transient memory errors.

  3. 3

If the fault persists after re-entering parameters, the control board containing the EEPROM may need replacement.
