LOP
Loss of Prime
Yaskawa · iQpump1000 AC Drive
What does LOP mean?
The pump load (based on P1-18) dropped below P1-19 for P1-20 time, and output frequency rose above P1-21. This fault is effective when P1-22 (Loss of Prime Selection) is set to 0 (fault).
Common Causes
- Dry well conditions.
- Air ingress into the pump system.
- Absence of water in the pump system.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Check for a dry well, air in the system, or no water in the system.

- 3
Set the Loss of Prime fault characteristics using parameters P1-18, P1-19, P1-20, and P1-21.
- 4
Control drive response to this condition using P1-21 (Loss of Prime Selection).
- 5
Control auto-restart of this fault using L5-51 (Loss of Prime Fault Retry Selection) and P1-23 (Loss of Prime Maximum Restart Time after Fault).
