Drive Overload
Yaskawa · P1000 AC Drive
What does oL2 mean?
The drive itself has been operating under an overload condition, exceeding its continuous current rating. This can lead to drive shutdown or damage if not addressed.
Repair Steps & Checklist
Click steps to track your progress.
- 1
Verify the mechanical load on the motor for any binding, obstruction, or excessive resistance that could lead to increased current draw.
- 2
Check drive parameters P2-01 (Motor Rated Current) and P6-01 (Overload Selection) against the motor nameplate data and application requirements.
- 3
Inspect motor power cables (U, V, W) for proper termination, insulation integrity, and signs of damage or short circuits between phases or to ground.
- 4
Monitor the drive's output current display and, if safely possible, independently measure motor phase currents to verify actual load against the motor's Full Load Amps (FLA).
